Recurve Bow

Three less damage and 400 less range than the Longbow, in exchange for a faster draw. A 10-token trade from a Longbow is the cheap way in.

Where it sits on the Anvil ladder

The Weapon Upgrade Anvil runs two ladders: upgrading walks a piece up its own family, while trading jumps sideways into a different weapon — and trades can bypass rank locks the shop enforces.

Longbow trades into this for 10 tokens — which reaches a rank-2 weapon with no rank requirement of its own.

Comparable weapons

What else fills the same slot, ordered by damage. This family only has a couple of members, so the nearest relative is included too.

Carrying it

Every shot feeds the forest's awakening timer, so a ranged kill is never free — see noise discipline. It is silent, which means it does not wake anything the way a firearm does — usually the better trade even at 40–60 damage against a musket's 66. Ammunition economics are on the items page.
