On Switch: no

The Mound: Omen of Cthulhu released July 15, 2026 on PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X|S only. No Nintendo Switch or Switch 2 version exists, and none has been announced.

The current-gen-only platform list looks deliberate. The game leans on dense jungle foliage, dynamic light from carried lanterns, and audio systems (proximity voice, directional dread) that are expensive on a handheld. Nacon does publish on Nintendo hardware, so a Switch 2 port isn't unthinkable later if the game lands well — but as of early July 2026 there is no announcement, no listing, and no dated plan. If that changes, this page changes within the day.

If you only have a Switch

The closest legally-available itch-scratchers on Nintendo hardware are Phasmophobia (announced for Switch 2), Devour and Sker Ritual — co-op dread with friends, minus the conquistador expedition economy. If you can reach a PC at all, the free Steam demo runs on modest hardware (GTX 1660 SUPER minimum) and is the genuine article. Our games-like list has the full comparison.

Switch questions

Is The Mound: Omen of Cthulhu on Nintendo Switch?

No. It released July 15, 2026 on PC (Steam), PS5 and Xbox Series X|S only — there is no Switch version, and none has been announced since launch.

Is The Mound coming to Switch 2?

What's the closest game to The Mound on Switch?

For co-op horror with friends: Devour and Sker Ritual today, and Phasmophobia when its Switch 2 release lands. None has The Mound's expedition-and-treasure economy.
