Where it sits on the Anvil ladder

The Weapon Upgrade Anvil runs two ladders: upgrading walks a piece up its own family, while trading jumps sideways into a different weapon — and trades can bypass rank locks the shop enforces.

Trades into Recurve Bow for 10 tokens — a rank-2 weapon reached without ever meeting that rank.

Comparable weapons

What else fills the same slot, ordered by damage. This family only has a couple of members, so the nearest relative is included too.

Carrying it

Every shot feeds the forest's awakening timer, so a ranged kill is never free — see noise discipline. It is silent, which means it does not wake anything the way a firearm does — usually the better trade even at 40–60 damage against a musket's 66. Ammunition economics are on the items page.

Longbow questions

How much damage does the Longbow do in The Mound?

60 damage, with 4,000 range. That ranks it 6 of 36 among weapons with published figures. The game never shows you this number in-game, so it is a community measurement — we publish it only because two independent databases agree on it.

How much does the Longbow cost?

15c in the shop, with no rank requirement at all.

What does the Longbow trade for?

A Recurve Bow, for 10 tokens. That's notable: the Recurve Bow normally needs rank 2, and this route gets there without it.
