What it actually takes to kill

The multiplier is the number that matters. At 10×, this creature takes more damage than its health bar suggests — 120 HP behaves like roughly 12. It dies far faster than it looks.

In practical terms: about 1 shot from a Flintlock Musket — the 66-damage ceiling weapon, so treat that as the best case. With a Crossbow at 40 damage it's about 1, and every one of those shots is silent.

That puts it 6 of 14 by raw HP among the creatures anyone has managed to measure.

What the codex says

In the mythos it moves through angles rather than space, intruding on the world from outside it. The game keeps that: it does not arrive, it appears.

Standing orders

It hunts whoever moved a treasure, not whoever is nearest — so it is the one enemy you summon by choice. The compensation is a 10× damage multiplier: it is extraordinarily fragile if the crew is ready. Decide before the first idol comes off its altar who carries and who shoots.

Hound of Tindalos questions

How much HP does the Hound of Tindalos have in The Mound?

120 HP, and it takes 10× damage — so the effective pool is closer to 12. These are community measurements cross-checked against the 1.0 build; the game never shows you a health bar with numbers on it.

How do you kill the Hound of Tindalos?

About 1 Flintlock Musket shot at 66 damage, or 1 crossbow bolts at 40. The crossbow is slower but silent, which usually matters more than the extra shots — gunfire winds the forest's awakening timer.

Why is a monster hunting only me in The Mound?

You picked up or moved a treasure. The Hound of Tindalos targets the carrier specifically. It takes 10× damage, so a prepared crew kills it quickly — an unprepared one loses the carrier.
