Carrying it
Melee is silent, never runs out, and works in every weather. It also has a backstab bonus and an overhead stab to the head that deals double damage — see the tips page. The cost is durability: 25 before it needs replacing, and enemies can parry and disarm you.
This is an Agedpiece — one rung below its finished version, which is exactly why it's worth buying. Measured across all seventeen aged/finished pairs the damage penalty runs 8–15%, while durability drops much harder. Buy it for the low entry price and the missing rank lock, then feed it to the Anvil.
