Does it earn its slot?
You don't buy this one; it turns up in the field. At 24–36c the only real decision is whether the slot could hold something worth more — see the treasure values for what else competes for the space.
It stacks to 5, so a full slot is worth up to 180 coin. Stack size is the number people forget: a slot of something cheap can out-earn a slot of something expensive that doesn't stack.
Foraged items are picked up on the route rather than bought, so their real cost is the inventory slot and the seconds spent stopping. Most give a minor health boost; the one genuine exception is the Luz del Sur mushroom, which reduces your feeling of isolation and is therefore the only forageable that touches the sanity system.
What a foraged slot is for
Foraging costs you nothing but seconds and a slot. Almost all of it gives a minor health boost and negligible coin, which makes the exceptions worth memorising — one mushroom touches the sanity system, and one animal is worth more than a low-tier idol.
The opportunity cost is the honest way to judge any of it. Your pack is the binding constraint, and the same slot could come home holding a Metal Idol worth 80–120 at the Basic tier and 560–840 at Legendary, or two bottles of wine at up to 720. At 24–36c, this item is not competing on resale — it earns its place through what it doesduring the run, or it doesn't earn it at all.

Dead Bandurria questions
What does the Dead Bandurria do in The Mound?
A black-faced ibis brought down for rations. At 24–36 coin and stacking to five, a full stack is 120–180 in one slot — better than a Basic idol, short of an Advanced one.
How much is the Dead Bandurria worth?
It sells to the appraiser for 24–36c, and it can't be bought — you find it. It stacks to 5, so a full slot is worth up to 180 coin.
